THE LAUNCH
On 1 December 1959, master carpenter Walter Kirschner made the decision to operate a ski rental shop in addition to his carpentry shop in the centre of Serfaus in Tyrol.

FROM CARPENTER TO SPORTS DEALER
In 1977, the carpentry workshop was converted into a sports company.

Intersport Austria
In 1979, Sporthaus Kirschner joined Intersport Austria.

FAMILY BUSINESS
In 1982, Siegmund Kirschner married his wife Renate, who in future was responsible for textile purchasing and sales in the shop.

RENOVATION
The first renovation of the site took place in 1986.

"Siggi"
In 1995, “Siggi” Siegmund Kirschner took over the business from his father Walter Kirschner. He became the manager of the sports company.

MODERNISATION
In 1999, Sporthaus Kirschner was once again rebuilt and enlarged to make it the size it is today.

EXPANSION
In 2010, a new location was added by the cable car in Serfaus.

Generation change
In 2019, Christian Kirschner and his sister Daniela Kirschner-Silvestri took over the business from Siegmund Kirschner and were appointed as managing directors of both businesses.

The family business Intersport Kirschner in Serfaus has existed for over 60 years and is now run by the third generation, siblings Christian Kirschner and Daniela Silvestri-Kirschner.

Generation changeWelcome to the new chapter of Intersport Kirschner!
On 28.08.2023, we will kick off an exciting chapter in the history of Intersport Kirschner. After intensive planning and preparation, we are already looking forward to the reopening of our store in the heart of Serfaus

On 01.12. and 02.12. we opened the doors to a completely new shopping experience. We have a fresh, contemporary look both inside and out.
